General Music at Crabapple Crossing
At Crabapple Crossing Elementary school, students come to music class for 45 minutes, once a week for 18 weeks per semester. Class schedules are subject to change based on in-house field trips, cultural arts programming, musical assemblies, as well as holidays. The CCES Music Department strives to achieve musical knowledge, performance, and awareness. Lessons are created and designed in line with the National Standards in Music Education, as well as the Georgia Performance Standards for Fine Arts.

At Crabapple Crossing, 4th and 5th grade students learn to play an electronic keyboard. Each student works at his/her own pace, progressing at an individual rate. All students work out of Alfred's All-In-One Course, unless they are already enrolled in private piano lessons. Students currently enrolled in piano lessons are invited to bring their method books to class and use the 45 min/week as an opportunity to practice for their private lesson. For more information regarding the course, keyboard, or method book, please contact Ms. Cygielman.
